After a long night of final preparations, last minute notes, directions for all the family, we are here… waiting. Should be 5-8 hours for the procedure. I’m twittering as well for more current updates, but I’ll try and keep notices up here as well.

And I thought the S2000 was hot; this is one ass kicking honda concept. The Honda Racer (along with other Hot Wheels concepts) will be touring the USA in August. From AutoBlog:
The first of these concepts to actually become a toy will be the Honda Racer, the design of which is inspired by the ‘H’ in Honda’s corporate logo. There’s room for a driver and navigator in the side-by-side shape of the concept that features a paint scheme inspired by Honda’s participation in F1 back in the day.
I’m a little pissed they used a “fictitious” V10 VTEC, but pleased that it’s not a 4 banger. This is one cool ass car.
After 90 days of strict eating, almost all water, fruits, veggies, whole grains, no fast food, natural root beer and no cool-ranch chips I have dropped 32.6 lbs. The “official” weigh-in for the groups in Friday, but 90 days is today, and I’ll be damned if I have to wait till Friday to eat some cool-ranch and Wendy’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers.
I mean, come-on. There are worse things (of course), but I am here for a freaking funeral, I did request early check-in, and now I have to sit in the freaking lobby for 4 hours because check-in isn’t until 3pm!?!? Hyatt, you are no longer going to receive my business. If I wasn’t so damn tired I’d call another hotel and get another room… maybe I should… **CORRECTION** I was given a room at 12:15pm, and it’s a nice room, so I’ll just make sure to be explicit in the future about early check-in.
With a week to go (technically Wednesday is the official LAST day of the competition) I’ve successfully dropped from 228.6 to 202.4 – a total of 26.2 pounds off. Taking into account I’ve stopped smoking, stopped drinking (last 2 weeks), stopped being able to run (pulled my hamstring), and have continued to not eat ANY fast food or Cool-Ranch Doritos. I’m down 4.4 lbs from last Fridays weigh-in. This last week will be rather strict after the weekend. I’ve been doing a lot of stretching and core workouts every night for the past week and it seems to be helping the inability to run. My goal has always been to be down 30 lbs by the last day (eventhough I assumed I would have hit the 190 lbs mark already and plataued till the end; I must be getting older). 198.6 is the goal for next Friday. That’s 3.8 lbs down in a week… shouldn’t be a problem. I never did take a before picture, but I bet i could find a real flattering one and pose it against the 30 lbs lighter me. We’ll see.
Google released today the ability to turn back time. From the login screen:
“Ever wish you could go back in time and send that crucial email that could have changed everything — if only it hadn’t slipped your mind? Gmail can now help you with those missed deadlines, missed birthdays and missed opportunities.”
Now, as a wise man mentioned to me today “…so, doesn’t that go against Google’s mantra Do No Harm?” Well, I could argue that a missed oppertunity to do something right that slipped your mind could be helping one out. A stretch? Perhaps. I’m just stoked that I can start post-dating all those late reports I’ve been handing in (right, like I’d do a thing like that).
Be careful kids… since Google doesn’t want to disrupt the time continuum they are only allowing you to screwup 10 times a year… I wonder if I can steal the 10 from my kids email I set up for them.. hummmmm
