Food Intake | Day 4

Breakfast
Flower Tortilla
Fist-size butterfly boneless pork chop (sliced)
Romaine Lettuce
1 slice of 2% milk fused swish cheese
Drizzle of spicy teriyaki sauce
Water

Basically, I made a breakfast wrap. Warned up the tortilla, sliced the pork, broke the romaine in two, tore the cheese, drizzled the sauce over it and wrapped it up. Quick and dirty.

Lunch

Special K honey nut Bar

Afternoon Sack
Lean BBQ Sliced Turkey
Handful of Almonds
Water

Dinner
Chicken Noodle Soup (leftover from the weekend)
12-15 Saltines

Food Intake | Day 3

So after spending a whole day inside with 3 sick individuals it appears I am starting to fell the symptoms. This will imped my ability to go out into the freezing cold to run my 3-5 miles I wanted to this weekend, but on the bright side I contact TIVO yesterday and they are sending me a new HD TIVO box for upstairs… no idea how those things are related… Chicago next week should be a blast.

Breakfast
Hot Earl Gray Tea (with 2 tsp. of honey and a splash of skim milk)
Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal

Lunch
Homemade Chicken and Noodle Soup (carrots, celery, noodles, chicken, etc.)
12-15 Saltines
Half a Mini Baguette
Water (lemon & lime juice)

Afternoon Snack
Half a FUJI Apple
2+ Clementine’s

Dinner
Broiled Steak and Pork Chops
StoveTop Stuffing
Steamed Broccoli & Cauliflower
Water

After Dinner Snack (prior to 8pm)
Bowl of White Popcorn (light salt, MollyMcButter)
Water

Food Intake | Day 2

Breakfast
Whole Wheat English muffin
Tablespoon grape jelly
Yellow, green & red peppers
Button Mushrooms
2 Eggs
Water
Airborn

Basically, I made scrambled eggs with peppers & mushrooms, had an english muffin with jelly smear, and washed it all down with an airborn.

Lunch
Water
Lean Flank Steak (light soy sauce)
Hot & Sour Soup with dried red pepper and noodles
1 Clementine

Afternoon Snacks
Apple
Water
1 Clementine

Dinner
Water (squirt of lemon & lime juice)
Steak and Chicken Fajitas (red, yellow & green peppers, mushrooms & fresh garlic)
Spanish Rice
12-15 White Corn Chips
Salsa
Tabasco Sauce

Food Intake | Day 1

Breakfast
N/A (I was still packing on bad-for-me-food by this point)

Lunch
Water
5 pieces of shrimp Nigiri-zushi
Raw vegetables (baby carrots, celery, broccoli & cauliflower)

Dinner
Rotiserie chicken (half a breast with skin and a leg with skin)
Fresh steamed green beans
Small costco roll
Water

After 8pm (I know I said I wasn’t doing this, but for the first week I’m being forgiving)
Airborn
Water (which, I will always have anytime of the day)

WeightHaters

If you’ve been following me on Twitter (I love when I go dark for months at a time here, jump back in and write as if I have a readership) I’m sure you’ve seen some odd “food” related posts. How I’ve been feeling gross, go team, etc. I’ve been recruited to join a team of WeightHaters at my company. What is a WeightHater… we’re doing a Biggest Looser style weight loss program at work. Weigh-in was today at 9:30am. For the past week my team and myself have been “eating more them usual” to tip-the-scales for the weigh-in. I’ve been making a pig of myself hoping to hit the 230lbs mark. I haven’t been 230 since I was a fat bastard my senior year of college.

So, I didn’t hit my mark, but I did make a gross blob of myself and am ready to take it way down. How do I plan on doing this? Good question:

Things No Longer Doing
No Soda
No Fast-Food (i.e. if I have to eat out, it’ll be appropriate, not a burger and fries)
No Booze
No Eating After 8pm
No Smoking (already not doing that)
No Junk Food (without extra effort to burn off calories)

Things Doing
Actually Striving for 5 a Day
Water 90% of The Time
Eating Breakfast
Running 10 miles a week

So there we go. I’m adjusting diet, stopping bad habits, and trying to keep myself to a cardio specific routine. My metabolism will kick back in (and up), I’ll feel better, and I’ll make my teammates sick at the speed at which I can drop pounds.
